last thursday, isaiah and i were sitting on the couch. "isaiah, do you know who santa is?" he looks at me with his big eyes. santa brings presents.

???!!!!

eric and i aren't sure where he picked that up. so i taught him "santa clause is coming to town." we talked about how santa only brings presents to good boys and girls, and did he think he was a good boy? yup. of course he does.

he still likes to sing songs. jingle bells! jingle bells!...AAALLL way! oh what fun uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh. HEY! one day he'll be able to fill in the "uh uh" parts.

isaiah told me and eric a story yesterday: i played with noAH and we jumping (isaiah jumps) and..and..dancing (isaiah dances) and crwap (isaiah claps). and then, and THEN....ninONG and daddy prway guitARRR. and then, and then ninong and tito j and daddy prway guitar. "isaiah, doesn't tito j play the drums? and tito ryan plays the piano?" yeah! and tito j prway drums! and tito ryan prway p'aNOOO. and jumping (isaiah jumps) and noAH and crwap (isaiah claps)...and then...OH NO! that was the end.

most of the bible study was helping g out at a youth retreat last weekend. they were the band. isaiah and noah jumped a lot and danced a lot. during "trading my sorrows" the hand motions go "yes (thumbs up) Lord (point to the sky) yes (thumbs) Lord point) yes (thumbs) yes (thumbs) Lord (point)." isaiah has been singing it since.

i think he's suffering from noah withdrawal as well. i think they saw each other 7 times in two weeks, three of those days were consecutive. i like how they play together. they just like to run and jump and laugh. they're not so much into the violent movies or games or play, which i like. i figure that isaiah is going to inevitably be exposed to violence through cartoons, video games, friends, etc. i'd like to delay that as much as possible. i don't even get him squirt guns. anyway.

merry christmas to all!

yesterday was a typical wednesday morning. i'm taking the boys to my cousin's house on my way to work. as we pull into my cousin's neighborhood, i say to isaiah that we're going to tita jen's house. he starts to whimper. no, mama. no tita jen's! i wan' go home! now he's crying. i wan go home!!!! aiya. he's not usually clingy (unless there are older filipino ladies around - they tend to scare him with their high pitched voices and incessant requests for kisses) and he rarely asks to go home. it breaks my heart to leave him when he's crying like that. i wonder if it's just a phase...like part of the terrible twos (which don't seem sooo terrible right now...)...
