i've said this before: isaiah is impatient. when he asks for something - we'll use juice as an example - and you say "okay, just a minute," he immediately cries (usually a fake cry) because he has blinked and there is no juice in his hand. how do you teach a two-year-old patience?

on the other hand, he can also be extremely polite. ryan, lorie, kimmie, eric, and i were all sitting around the table one night in florida chatting and here comes isaiah. excuse me, daddy. can i watch more bugs please? i think all of our hearts simultaneously melted.

isaiah got the "bug's life" (aka "bugs") dvd for christmas. it's the current number one movie tied with "cars" (also a christmas present).

he's starting to ask "why" and is using "because." mama? can i have binky, please, because i want my binky?

he's also starting to distinguish between boys and girls. i a boy. is mama a boy or a girl? mama a girrrll. is ethan a boy or a girl? he a boy. is luci a boy or a girl? luci a princess. ha!

i think isaiah had a lot of fun in florida. he learned how to repeat "ice ice baby" while jumping up and down on the bed. he got to see the dolphins jumping and the fish and manta rays swimming at discovery cove. he also got to run around and play in the sand at discovery cove. he got to see the shamu show and feed the seals and sea lions at sea world. he got to see every single disney character and see spectacular fireworks at magic kingdom. he got to swim A LOT. even though he got pretty restless on the plane, he was pretty good considering that we were asking an extremely energetic little boy to sit still for 3 hours. thank God for first class seats. the extra space makes a huge difference.
