talk talk talk...
isaiah, do you want more banana? no no. [shakes head and puts his hand up.]
you's keed-ee!! [popping out from behind the curtains.] huh? you're kimmie? no no. [again with the hand.] you's keed-ee!!! i look at eric. "you scared me," he says. "that's what you say to him when he pops out from behind the curtains." ohhhhhh.
isaiah, do you want to color? yeah. seet down. colorrr.
[isaiah picks up two pens and hands one to you.] on guard!
[isaiah picks up two thundersticks and hands one to you.] on guard!
[isaiah picks up two towels and hands one to you.] on guard!
[isaiah picks up a sock and hands it to you to put on his hand.] sock? on? on guard!!
isaiah will often cry when he doesn't get what he wants. but he'll only cry for a little bit until he either forgets or finds that putting his finger up his nose is way more fascinating than the thing he asked for in the first place.

when we first gave isaiah lucky charms, he quickly discovered that the marshmallows were the only part of the cereal worth eating. he never even finished his first serving of lucky charms because he quit on it after he learned that there were no more marshmallows left. in fact, i dont' think he's ever finished his lucky charms. anyway...when he's digging around for the marshmallows, he is silent. he's concentrating so hard that not one peep comes out of him. how great is it to have lucky charms at church??? SO great! not that he gets out of control at church, but it's nice to be able to actually listen to the readings and participate in mass. he was very well behaved for 98% of the mass yesterday. it wasn't until he started to get fussy right after communion that we discovered that there was a cry room (sigh). and on the door to the cry room read "No food allowed in the church." oops. =P

isaiah's current favorite movie is chicken little.
he got it in his easter basket. i would say he got it from the easter bunny, but he has no idea who the easter bunny is. all he knows is that he has it, and it's all he thinks about.
he woke up at 4am a few nights ago just crying and crying asking for chicken little (over and over and over). it took a while, but eric finally got him calmed down and back to sleep.
eric's mom watches isaiah on thursdays. we use our ps2 to play dvds. isaiah can't watch chicken little on thursdays unless mommy starts playing it before she leaves for work. and he can only watch it once. lola doesn't know how to work the ps2.
we always watch all the way through the end of the credits. isaiah likes to shake his tailfeather. when the credits roll, isaiah grabs your hand and gives you a very serious look. "up!!" and pulls your hand so you can shake your tailfeather with him.
