so much going on in the world of isaiah...

he's doing great in pre-k - this is based on our parent-teacher conference. he's being a good boy and is making friends. he's concerned about what's in his lunch every day and about whether he goes to latchkey in the morning or not. this friday is his school christmas concert. isaiah and his class will be singing "twinkle, twinkle holy star" and "jingle bells." isaiah likes to practice singing his songs. i really love that he learns the true meaning of christmas at his school. he came home last week and told me all about the "really big star" that showed everyone where baby Jesus was.
he was really sad to leave cheboygan today. on our way home, all he kept saying was how he wanted to go back to luci's house and he didn't want to go home, he wanted to stay in cheboygan. yes, isaiah, we feel you. on our way up to cheboygan he told owen, "do you know who you're going to meet? you're going to meet simon and he's going to be your best friend!"

isaiah has watched too much kung fu panda. so much for shielding him from violence. he pretends to karate chop the wall and even his brothers (sigh). of course the boys think it's fun/funny...they're kung fu panda watching days are pretty much done until they can demonstrate some responsibility in handling it.

isaiah has taken after his parents (or maybe just his mama) in singing about what he's doing or thinking about. you'll often catch him singing under his breath to a familiar tune...but the lyrics are different. some of the are pretty good. one of them went (to "mary had a little lamb"), "and God created everything and it was very cool."

fruit roll-ups are the latest cool snack for isaiah. he likes to rip them. and he says so every time he has one.
