noah noah came over to hang out last night while ellen and rob (his parents, my cousins) were at work. noah is just 5 months older than isaiah, so it's great that we live close enough for them to spend time together often. oh, and noah is also going to be a big brother (t minus 4 weeks!).
i think that it's pretty fair to say that both isaiah and noah have not been very good at sharing. (can you blame them? they've been only children their whole lives.) usually, we have to hang around both of them to make sure they're not snatching toys from each other and making the other one cry. but last night we left them alone in the living room with blocks and doggies (stuffed animals) and nemo books, and they shared! passing the dogs back and forth and hugging them at the same time. "reading" the nemo books and showing each other the pictures in the book they're reading. it's so funny to watch them interact.
isaiah: mamo! dada!
noah: gurgle gurgle gurgle...book.
isaiah: book book book.
noah: gurgle gurgle gurgle...okay.
they played and played and played. i think that isaiah played last night (even after noah left) until he was ready to drop. i changed him into his pajamas and he was out in eric's arms within 5 minutes. i'm betting that if eric didn't hold him still for a minute, he would have literally played until he dropped.
taking care of two boys is exhausting. that was good practice.
