just a bunch of little things that add up to isaiah growing up too fast...
- he's mimicking words like crazy. we definitely have to watch our language around him. ryan had the privilege of being the first to drop the $h!# word and have isaiah immediately repeat it. thanks, bro. :P
- he likes to hide. eric would take a blanket and say "isaiah let's hide," and they'd disappear under a blanket with isaiah whispering, "hiding, hiding..." and then they'd pop out from under the blanket yelling, "SURPRISE!!" isaiah, usually shrieking with joy from the fun of the game. he's recently taken to hiding in pillow forts that we build around him while he scrunches into a ball on the floor, face down. it is imperative that his little blanket covers the top of the fort.
- he pretends to sleep. on the stairs. i don't know why on the stairs. i've figured out that our stairs are about 3 feet wide, since isaiah can fully lay out on a step with a little room to spare. he pretend snores to make it authentic. he gets upset ("no!!!") if you say "wake up, isaiah!"
- he runs up to you and says, "doing!" as in "what are you doing?" you tell him "i'm brushing my hair." oh. then runs away.
- he remembers you! well, if he sees you often enough, he'll remember your name. we're still working on the three-syllable words, so trying to get him to call people "tita" or "tito" and then their name is too much. so until he gets that, don't feel disrespected that you're just "bob" instead of "tito bob."
- he's still calling eric "babe" and calls ryan "goose." hilarious.
- eric's mom started teaching isaiah our real names. sometimes i'm "anna."
- he's been adept at feeding himself with a spoon for a while now. he hunches over his little bowl, shoveling the food in his mouth with his right hand while holding the bowl steady with his left.
- he really loves the pistons. he and eric spent quality time yesterday refreshing the pistons homepage just to hear mason. deee-troit bas-ket-balll!! i showed him his tayshaun prince jersey this morning and asked if he wanted to wear it. "pistons?! yeah!" he got upset when i put a onesie on him first. he thought he wasn't going to get to wear his pistons jersey. whenever he sees nba on tv, he asks "pistons?" that's our boy.
- you can ask him his name. he'll say "ssay-yah."
- he can for real catch a ball. and he can for real shoot a basketball from two feet away from his hoop.
- sometimes he gets this crazy look in his eyes and then plants a big, looooong kiss on your lips. it can be a little uncomfortable, but it's still so sweet.
- he greets us when we come home. "hi, mama. hi, dah-dee." what a great greeting.
- he's getting his colors down. green. blue. purple. pink. red. black.
that's all for now...

I love the Isaiah updates. He is definitely your son....as evidenced by his inherent love for the Pistons. What a great boy.....I can't wait to see him and you again soon :)
Miss you tons, bebe.
