i might have said this before, but isaiah is HUGE.

i don't know if it's because he has a little brother 1/3 his size, or if he hit a growth spurt exactly
when ethan was born, or both. we picked him up from my mom's house on our way home from the hospital and he just seemed so much more mature - like he knew that he had become a big brother. changing his diaper now is like changing the diaper of a grown up compared to ethan's teeny tiny diapers. it makes me wonder how ready he is to start potty training...

i think isaiah loves his baby brother. he hasn't really displayed signs of jealousy, although i'm not sure if that's because "baby brother" is still a novelty. isaiah always wants to hold ethan, which is the sweetest thing ever but at the same time problematic when ethan is trying to sleep or nurse. eric went back to work last thursday, leaving me alone and outnumbered with the boys. at one point, i had to go to the bathroom. we were in the living room - ethan on his baby bed, isaiah playing nearby. isaiah, mama has to go to the bathroom and will be right back. can you watch baby brother for a minute? "sure." i run up to the bathroom but not before i snuck a peek from the stairs to see what isaiah would do. i saw him abandon his toys, walk over to ethan, bend over to give him a kiss, then went back to playing. *smile* i hope they love each other their whole lives. isaiah really is a sweet boy.

Comments:
ahhh!! how sweet! Don't worry, they will still love each other, even if Isaiah expresses it by hitting his big sister in the face while sleeping! Then laughing after!!

Oh whoops, sorry. Just replaying an incident with Noah earlier this morning!

Isaiah, you are such a good boy!

Your kids are beautiful!
