in less than two hours, my (first) baby boy is going to be two. two years old already!! he speaks in sentences and knows a ton of nouns. he can sing along to songs he knows (bob the builder! can we fix it? bob the builder! YES WE CAN!!!), he repeats everything he hears, he knows how to play with cars and how to make his animals talk to each other (how are you? how are you? how are you? how are you?). i think the terrible twos have officially set in. fits and tears whenever he doesn't get something right away, adamant NO!!s, tuning us out when it's something he doesn't want to hear, etc. he can be so polite one minute and a complete mess the next. eric's co-worker assures him that a switch goes off around 3-1/2 to 4 years old, and the kid becomes super sweet again.

anyway...happy birthday, my sweet baby boy!! thanks for making us so happy. you can stop growing if you want. you don't have to grow up so fast. it really does go by soooo fast. i love you very much!
